Nagar kirtan Kirtan is basically a type of song that combines the characteristics or praises of the gods. People of Hindu Community sing this song. Every morning in the month of Damodar, kirtan groups go out in the city. This year Karthik Masa or Damodar month is beginning from 31 Oct 2020 till 30 Nov 2020 (Purnima System). They dance and sang 'Hore Krishna' Song. They clap and sing. They also use musical instruments during the song. Goes from house to house and collects pranami. As this kirtan is performed very early in the morning, it’s known as Nagar Kirtan. Everyone travels the city barefoot and sings 'Hare Krishna' song. That sound is very sweet. Prasad is given to everyone at the end of kirtan song. The main part of the song is as follows: Hore Krishno, Hore Krishno, Krishno Krishno, Hore Hore. Hore Ram, Hore Ram, Ram Ram, Hore Hore.
